Ever been to a good ol' fashioned dance hall? If not, Gruene Hall is a must add to your Texas adventure list. Gruene Hall, located in the quaint town of Gruene, Texas, was built in 1878 and is Texas' oldest continually operating dance hall. We headed south of Austin last weekend to meet family and wound up seeking shelter from the sun in the old dance hall while listening to a mixture of Sunday gospel, western swing and honky tonk.
